'Servo' - open for business!
On April 1st 2008 the 'new' Servo opened its doors for business for the first time. With a turnover approaching £100m the 'new' Servo starts life with over 3,100 active customers and has a scale and potential market influence never previously enjoyed by either of its predecessors.
Servo is positioned to exploit opportunities to provide IT services to UK mid-market organisations who are typically seeking outsourced solutions as a means of cost control whilst being open to off-premises models for their IT infrastructure. They recognise the need for innovation but cannot afford to drive it. They need suppliers that can do more than supply - that can also provide strategy and engagement - they need suppliers they can work with productively and trust for all their IT support. In short they need Servo.
Integration Associates were engaged by Phoenix IT Group to assist it with the integration of two recent acquisitions; ICM Computer Group and Servo Computer Services Limited (SCS). This complex integration programme involved;
- De-merging ICM Business Continuity and ICM Managed Availability Services (MAS)
- Merging ICM MAS and SCS's market-facing business units to form 'new' Servo
- Assisting with the creation of Operations Shared Service and Corporate Service units, formed to provide services to the Phoenix IT Group
- Over-achieving the 2007/08 Business Plan
With the primary integration goal achieve the Servo business is now engaged in a programme of further business change, as it drives to become the number one provider of IT Infrastructure Services to the UK Mid Market. Primed for success, we wish everyone connected with the business well, for what we fully expect to be a bright future, in an ambitious, growing company.
